I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.
That voice that measures your progress against someone else’s — that whispers you should be further along, further behind, more like them, less like you — does not come from the Father.
It comes from the ego. From the environment that trained you to compete, compare, and rank yourself against a moving target that was never yours to hit.
And here is the part that’s easy to miss: just because a thought arrives wearing the clothes of “I think” or “I feel” does not make it yours. Many of the voices running through you were installed long before you had any say in the matter. They speak in the first person. That doesn’t mean they speak for you.
Walk in the measure of light you’ve been given. Not someone else’s measure. Not the light you wish you had, or the light you’ll have later. The light that is actually here, now, in front of you.
Work with what you’ve received. The next measure is not withheld out of stinginess. It comes when you’re ready to carry it — and not a moment before, because a moment before would break something.
Don’t run with another’s dream, another’s certainty, another’s map of the territory. Draw from what is actually yours. The wells are deep. They were placed in you, not handed to you from outside.
You will get things wrong. That’s allowed. You will adjust, and that’s allowed too. This is not a test you can fail by changing your mind. Growth means some convictions will mature and others will simply fall away, and both of those are the path working, not the path going wrong.
Be brave enough to own where you actually are — not where you think you should be.
Stay in your lane. Goodness and mercy are already behind you, following, the way they always have.
In Him you live and move and have your being. He knows the next step. You only have to take this one.
