When asked ‘who are you?‘ or ‘what do you do?’, we typically draw upon a frame of reference to answer the question.

Some would refer to their family name, gender, occupation, roles (dad, mum, brother etc).

Others draw from their race, nationality, beliefs, culture, values and sexuality.

A few may also reference their dreams and aspirations when describing who they are, or what they do.

What is your frame of reference when asked ‘who are you?’ or ‘what do you do?’.

We are each a CONSTRUCT (from the term construction).

Our perception of who we are, is often an unconscious combination of one of several ‘frames of reference’.
Over a lifetime, we latch unto them finding identity, purpose and comfort in them.

‘I am a mum’. ‘I am a CEO’. ‘I am a Writer’. ‘I am an Environmentalist’. ‘I am an Activist’. ‘I am a man’. ‘I am gay’. ‘I am straight’ ‘I am Transgender’, ‘I am a Conservative’. ‘I am Black’. ‘I am Canadian’. ‘I am an Atheist’ and the constructs go on and on.

But what is left, when all that is stripped away?

If TRUTH be told, you are none of THAT.

You are THIS.

What is THIS?

THIS is what is left, when all THAT is stripped away.

You are the stillness.
You are the SPACE in between.
You are PEACE.
You are the KNOWING.

If you are willing and able to de-construct the CONSTRUCT,
there you will find your Self, your power. There you will find God.

“Be still and KNOW that I AM God’
