Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

Some believe the world to be all that it appears to be, and live under its spell.

Others see the world for what it really is, and walk away from it.

Then there are those who see the world for what it really is, but they don’t walk away.
They remain, stay engaged, fully participating in the world,
but only draw upon the truth from within as their frame of reference.

These ones are the true inheritors of the earth.
They suffer no loss on the day of reckoning.
Though active players in the world, they were never invested in its illusion and lies.
On the day when all illusion and lies are revealed for what they really are,
the meek remain grounded.

My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.
